How long has Help At Home been in business?
The agency was founded in 2001 by Terri Rabkin. We are fortunate that almost all of our growth has been a result of word-of-mouth referrals from our satisfied clients.
Help at Home can provide services in your home, in residential communities, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and hospitals throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC Metropolitan areas on a temporary or long-term basis.
We provide home health care services to seniors living in Maryland and Northern Virginia suburbs including, but not limited to Bethesda, Rockville, Silver Spring, and Chevy Chase, MD. You can call our office at (301)896-0015. We are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We conduct an in-depth interview to get to know you. Our goal is to become familiar with your lifestyle, medical conditions and the kind of assistance you need in order to determine the scope of care.
Ordinarily, we conduct a complete assessment so that we understand the specific needs of a new client. However, on an emergency basis, we are able to start care within a few hours.
We have a 4 hour minimum per visit.
Our caregivers are available for as little as 4 hours per visit up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. You can choose which days and hours you would like to receive services. If your care needs change, we will adjust the schedule to match your needs.
We can provide service on a one-time basis, a few times a week, up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Help at Home provides escorted transportation to and from outpatient procedures. Our caregivers will escort you into the house, help you get comfortable, and stay to attend to your post-surgical needs.
Our caregivers are licensed Certified Nursing Assistants, Geriatric Nursing Assistants, and Home Health Aides who are personally screened and interviewed by our experienced professionals.
Our care providers are trained and experienced in a broad range of geriatric and health care issues. We pride ourselves on knowing the personalities and areas of expertise within our family of caregivers to match the person who can best meet your needs.
We do our best to make a good match between client and caregiver. However, if you have any reservations at all, we will change caregivers, without hesitation, until you are completely satisfied.
Help at Home has a large pool of caregivers so we can promptly and efficiently send another qualified provider to substitute. Clients and family members will be notified of any changes in staffing or scheduling.
We take pride in matching you with a caregiver that is a good fit for your needs and personality. We understand that most of our clients appreciate having the stability of the same caregiver day after day, and we strive to meet that expectation.
Our caregivers can drive and/or escort you as needed.
Help At Home can provide a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse should your family member need an increase in the level of care.
Help at Home sends a weekly invoice to the client or designated responsible party for services rendered. The invoice is itemized to reflect the actual time your caregiver worked.
We have the same low rate 7 days a week, day or night.
The only holidays we bill at time and a half are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and July 4th.
Some long-term care insurance policies cover our services. We will provide the necessary paperwork, and work with you and your insurance company to determine if you are eligible for reimbursement.
There are no agency fees. Our clients are billed for mileage only if the caregiver uses his/her own vehicle.
